I can't find any mod downloads

Could someone give me the link to the NGE style GIU mod for SWGEMU? I want to change my icons.

Hey Tannen,

Since a lot of our modders get lazy once they've finished a mod (Tongue) and don't post them in the downloads section, they are all posted in the Releases Forum. The mod I think you're looking for is here Smile

I am hoping to manually upload a lot of the currently released mods to the downloads section in the near future though Smile

Pff I'm not lazy Sad, I'm one of the few who still post here!

I didn't think the Download section was useful for me as the mods are easy to find (if you know how to search a forum Tongue) in the Release section, I thought the DL section was going to be used by modders who don't have the time to create a whole new topic for it.

What about the DL section linking directly to the threads where the mods are presented? So it's clearer for everybody, I don't know, you get the last word Davin. Big Grin

Maybe the DL section works as a backup of some sort, I just wouldn't want people downloading a mod I made and then wondering what does what or how to uninstall it because they directly downloaded the mod without reading the thread first.

I agree that it does feel a bit redundant to have both a downloads section and a forum for the downloads, it's mainly there to make it easier for people to browse through the mods as well as giving people a way that they can host their files on MtG, as you say it's nice to have a backup for the mods. Smile

There is a description section for each download which functions exactly like writing a post for the forums! Smile

I will have to think it over and see if it can be a bit more useful... or be scrapped Big Grin

That would be great! The DL sections needs some shiny.

I responded to your announcement but now I think I should've responded here, I'm making a mess of this place! Big Grin
