SWGEmu New PreCU UI Color Schemes [Update 05/31/12]
I recieved a PM from smason telling me how s/he couldn't get the new interface color schemes to work after unchecking the colored icons in the NGE GUI Mod installer (basically keeping the PreCU icons with the new interface AND the new color schemes), well it wasn't part of the NGE and CU GUI Mods as I didn't want to impose anything.

Well now it's here, I should've released this a long time ago but I guess I forgot about it.
The 23 new interface color schemes without the Post-PreCU (what) colored icons is two clicks away!

I didn't make an installer for obvious reasons, this is very small and only requires that you put the "ui" folder inside your SWGEmu directory (shouldn't be too hard), to remove it well read the README below.

PS: Long live MtG.

I. MODIFICATION OVERVIEW

This small mod will add 23 new interface color schemes to the PreCU interface (PreCU icons).
If you installed the CU or the NGE GUI Mod and unchecked the colored icons in the installer, you can install this mod and get the new color schemes without the colored icons.

------------------------------------
II. INSTALLATION

Put the "ui" folder in your SWGEmu directory, be sure not to put the folder into its own folder.

Works with SWGEmu and SWG:ANH.
Will work with any other SWG Emulator, as long as the servers use Patch 14.

------------------------------------
III. UNINSTALLATION

Remove the following files from the "ui" folder.

ui_styles
ui_palette_ground
ui_palette_space

------------------------------------
IV. KNOWN ISSUES

There are currently no known issues with this mod.
Feel free to report to the thread you got the mod from for any problem you encounter.

------------------------------------
V. NOTES

This client side modification is in no way affiliated to the SWGEmu team.
DO NOT contact them for support of any kind related to this modification, as no support will be given to you.

Feel free to PM me if you find any bugs related to the interface,
if you're not sure the New PreCU UI Color Schemes Mod is the cause of your problems uninstall the Mod first and verify if the bug(s) is/are still present.

PM's at:
ModTheGalaxy.com
SWGEmu.com

IMPORTANT:

If after first installing the mod your interface doesn't look right or if the windows are misplaced,
be sure ot use the /ui hudreset command to reset the interface, which will replace the windows accordingly.

Thanks for noticing, I guess I uploaded the mod outside of my account and for some reason it got deleted, even though it wasn't violating anything.

Updated the OP with the new download link.

Thanks! Smile

As an alternative way of using the Darjani Orange by Uli theme, I installed the EMU to CU theme and unselected all the boxes during installation. That gave me the color themes and the colored icons (which I actually prefer now after so many years of NGE).

Great work here and thanks for taking the time to do it.

Yeah that works too, I made the CU and NGE UI mods after this one, the new UI color schemes mod is just for those who want a pure PreCU interface with new colors without colored icons. Smile

I'd like to make some new color schemes. Would that be best accomplished by copying one of the schemes in this file and pasting it to the bottom, then changing all of the color values? Or is there a "better way" to this?

RE: SWGEmu New PreCU UI Color Schemes [Update 05/31/12]
That's the only way I know of, there is tool that helps you add color schemes and see the changes it would have on the interface, I'm afraid you'll have to do it manually like the rest of us. Sad

There was a tutorial that showed which line does what to the interface, it was never completed though and the original website where it came from was taken down, though the internet archive still has it.

RE: SWGEmu New PreCU UI Color Schemes [Update 05/31/12]
cool thanks!

I was thinking of just making a web page and style sheet file that looks similar, that way I could plop in some color codes and see what they look like together instantly. mess around with that until I like it, then copy the color codes into the game file.

I really like a lot of the themes, but I'm picky and I like puttering. Smile

EDIT: As an after thought, playing with colors in Gimp would be easy too as it outputs the color codes in the color selector.
