SWG - Recent Patch Files/Updated TOC's
#1
Hi,

I've been away from SWG for quite some time (Aerospace Engineering is one heck of a college major). I used to be a very frequent modder (perhaps some people remember me). Anyways, with SWG closing, I wanted to get a backup of the most recent files/patches/etc for future reference. However, you can't run the patcher without having an active account (which I lack). I found a way to download patches manually (http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/posts...40#2901905) however that method does not work for hotfix patches nor the ever-important .toc files. However, I was able to download all the primary _client and _shared patches up to patch 58 (that is the most recent, correct?)

....anyways, I was wondering if someone could tell me if I'm missing any patches that aren't listed there and don't follow that naming convention, and also if someone could upload the most recent .toc files?

You'd be better off waiting for a reply on modsource. As we deal with the emulator, the later patches aren't of much importance to us. I'm sure someone will have archived them all by the 15th but most of the people here don't even have the CU patches installed.

Excellent, I got someone to send me their .toc's and compare tre files with.

Really, the main thing I want archived from the newer files is the models and textures as those could still be potentially useful for reference or for use in the emu or other projects.

Waw another ModSource old timer, welcome.
Ton, don't say that you know there is a lot we can salvage from the later patches, nothing from the NGE core though but that's obvious. Big Grin

Well I do have an updated SWG install up to patch 58, I wasn't sure it was the very last patch, they could've patched the game after they closed the door to new accounts for all we know.

I'll have to create a super compressed archive with all the patches at some point, it'll be useful.

I'm not saying they aren't of value, I just meant not many of us have them, or no where near up to date anyway since a lot of us declared CBA with NGE a long time ago.

Err but I thought you logged into NGE a few times to test some stuff, unless you don't count yourself in "not many of us".

I did, out of boredom and curiosity. But that was like a year ago so my files aren't what I'd call recent. Wink

EDIT: I just realized that was when we got free time for the epic hackage.

Well that wasn't so long ago then, but at any rate I'm sure the patches will be hosted in a repo soon enough for everyone to get.

Yeah those links go to NPE not main.

Some files (exe, dlls etc) are packed as gzip so they got the .gz extension so if you try download a file says it doesnt exist add .gz it normally will fix it.
