what does useHeightBias do ?

what does useHeightBias do ? (true or false is the option, on/off) can be found in cfg (swgemu_machineoptions.iff) when you use settings overrider 2.0

It lets you bias the level of detail for terrain nodes. A terrain node with lots of height variation will look comparatively less detailed at a particular LOD than one with little variation as the vertices are further apart. So with this option enabled, nodes with a large dy should get subdivided sooner than the default scheme which is only based on distance from camera.

Well no it changes the LOD selection at all distances not only far.
